Krispy Sweetness

By now you realize that I like to flip ingredients to traditional meals and treats so that it is safe for my special diet loved one. One of this persons favorite things to eat used to be Rice Krispy Treats but sadly they no longer fit in with his diet...so we had to improvise. Without further ado, here is our version of Rice Krispy Treats.


What you will need is:

3 cups of Rice Krispies

1 1/2 Tbsp of plant based butter

2 cups of chopped up Max Mallow (sugar free, classic vanilla)

No Whey dairy free chocolate chips (optional)

No Whey allergy free sprinkles (optional)


Step one: Heat the plant based butter and Mallows in a pot over medium heat until they are completely melted and smooth

Step two: Mix in Rice Krispy's into the butter/mallow mixture

Step three: Stir until well coated/blended

Step four: Line a 7 x 9 pan with parchment paper

Step five: Using a spatula, press the Rice Krispy's into the pan

Step six: Decorate with chocolate chips and sprinkles (optional)

Step seven: Allow the Rice Krispies to cool until set

Step eight: Cut and enjoy

Little Tips: You can double or triple the recipe to meet the needs of your loved one. You can also melt the chocolate and pour over the Rice Krispy treats...it is all up to individual taste.
